Summary: Answer to Hergerbabe's SongFic #6 challenge.
Entering the room with a muted flash, he stared down at the man sleeping on the other side of the room. //There's no time for us, every life-time we have and will try in, there's no place for us.// Ares thought to himself as he watched his love's chest rise and fall with his slow, steady breathing.
//Damn Hypnos for this thing that builds our dreams. When submerged it feelsso real, yet it will always slip away from us.//
//Who wants to live forever?// Ares thought and sat down beside Joxer's still form.
//There's no chance for us. It's all decided for us, with Zeus' stupid rule. This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us, and it has to be when we die.//
"Who dares to love forever when love must die?" Ares said as he watched
Joxer open his tear-filled eyes. He'd been listening to Ares' thoughts. Ares looked down lovingly at Joxer and followed the tear that dripped from his eye down his cheek. He bent down to kiss it away.
Joxer reached up and touched the pendant around Ares' neck with his finger tips, a tiny model of the world. "We can have it, we can love forever."
"Who wants to live forever?"
"It's our today," Joxer said, looking at his lover pleadingly. "Who waits forever, anyway?"
Ares leaned down to kiss Joxer's lips, hearing a slow rumbling sound from far off. He flashed their clothes away and gently got under the covers of their bed. Joxer lifted his hands to Ares' face and caressed his cheeks lovingly. Ares oiled his cock with a thought and pressed it against Joxer's opening.
The rumbling grew louder and the temple began to shake. Pieces of the ceiling fell to the floor leaving a gap in the roof, the sky black; nothingness.
Ares slowly pushed himself into his love, leaning down to give him one last kiss. Joxer kissed back desperately, not wanting it to ever end. The sweetness of that moment was too much for either of them to handle. Ignoring the chaotic destruction around them, they came.
The walls caved in and covered the bed and the two bodies in it. Crushing them while the dust encased their remains and swirled around and sucked into itself. Thinning out slowly to reveal only the blackness of space.
