"Erin you are ten now, you have been living with me for the last six years. I think its time you visit the mortal realm and learn to interact with mortals," Ares said as Erin continued to eat. He waited a moment for the news to sink in and when he still didn't get the expected excitement he looked at Erin. "Something wrong?"

"It's just that, Iwas practicing looking in on the mortals. Moving things, turning them colors, I looked in this tavern and I just really got a bad feeling," Erin admitted.

"Do you want to show me this tavern?" Ares said his voice calm though he had a horrible feeling he knew who Erin had accidentally stumbled on. He was vaguely surprised Eris had actually lasted that long in one location with out causing murder.

Erin slid off his seat still tiny for his age and went to collect the mirror he had been using to see mortals and cause small bursts of mischief. He focused on the mirror and then handed it over to his uncle.

Ares looked onto the scene and if he didn't know he was looking at Eris he wouldn't have believed it. The first startling change was that she had a tan. And her hair, no longer styled by her power had fallen into soft waves.

Instead of the usual plotting and dangerous expression she looked tired. Despite her immortality, under her eyes were dark with shadows, and she seemed to if possible have lost more weight. He supposed Hestia's cold porridge curse was the cause of that.

She was favoring her left side though that meant little as with Apollo's curse even a bruise would be agony. Ares glanced at Erin who was avoiding looking at the mirror though he remained at Ares' side.

"Erin can you tell me what exactly it is about this tavern that disturbs you?"

"I think it's her," he said pointing at the image of Eris.

"Do you know who that is?" Ares asked realizing for the first time they never mentioned Eris. After the fall of her temple no one dared mentioned her to Erin. And the yearly meetings to check up on the immortal were of course kept secret from the child.

"She looks familiar," Erin said slowly racking his mind.

"She's no one," Ares quickly said. "Look at her Aura."

"Oh, she's immortal. Is that why?"

"Look deeper."

"Oh, I see, Aunt Hestia, Demeter, 'thena, Hecte, Grandma, Unc 'Don, 'Pollo and Hermes I think, oh auntie 'Dite is there too, but its different," Erin said with a frown.

"That is because you have never seen any of them angry. That woman angered nearly ever god on Olympus. She will be punished for years to come. The bad feeling you are getting is from the curses of nearly every god you know."

"What did she do?" Erin asked.

"That is something you are not old enough to hear," Ares said wondering how Erin could forget his own mother so quickly. Six years was not very long for a god and their memories were made for eons of information.

"I didn't see you in there. She didn't make you mad?" Erin asked.

"I had something more important to do than waste more than a few moments on that thing," Ares said not realizing he threw an arm around Erin and pulled him closer.

"We can go to another village," Ares said simply.

"Ok," Erin said hugging his uncle.

"What about this one, it have a lot of kids right now?"

"Ok, um what do I do?"

"I'm sure you will figure it out. Finish your breakfast we will go when the children go to play at midday."

"Unc, when will you show me to use a sword?"

"When you are taller than my waist," Ares said with a grin.

Erin sighed and returned to his breakfast.
